What the difference between Hemp Seed Oil, CBD Oil & Full Spectrum CBD Oil

on

There are probably a lot of new terms in your life right now as the marijuana industry finally gains legal traction throughout the country. Whether it’s CBD oil or cannabidiol, or maybe even full spectrum oil and THC, it can be hard to sort it apart and know what you are buying. That’s why for the purposes of this blog, we’re going to look at CBD oil, Full Spectrum Hemp oil, Hemp Seed oil and why you should know the differences. That way, you can purchase the products that are right for you, your discomfort, and your lifestyle.

What is CBD Oil?

Cannabidiol, is a derivative from the cannabis plant. It’s one of many cannabinoids, known as compounds, found in the cannabis plant, much like THC and other compounds. However, unlike THC, CBD does not contain psychoactive characteristics, which means you can enjoy the discomfort relief and relaxation properties without an altered mental state. In essence: you can’t get high from consuming CBD oil.

The term CBD oil is commonly used for products containing only CBD Isolate and a carrier such as coconut oil. Advanced extraction methods have been able to remove everything contained in the plant matter and isolate only the CBD compound. Although CBD is great on its own, studies of full spectrum products that contain naturally occurring CBD, terpenes, other cannabinoids, chlorophyll, and more, may provide a more therapeutic effect. Known as the "Entourage Effect".

What is Full Spectrum Oil?'

Is the purest form of hemp oil. It contains all of the compounds within the hemp plant. For a product to be considered full spectrum it should contain traces of all of the compounds, cannabinoids (CBN, CBG, CBC, CBDA, CBCA, CBGA), terpenes and even less than 0.3% THC.
In addition to CBD, Full spectrum products offer essential nutrients such as omega 3 fatty acids, linoleic acid, b complex, vitamin C, A and E, beta-carotene, magnesium, potassium, calcium, zinc, phosphorus, and iron."
The small amount of THC provides and entourage effect that when paired with other cannabinoids can increase its effectiveness.
We offer full spectrum softgel capsules & tinctures that can be taken daily.

What is Hemp Seed Oil?

Hemp Seed oil is a little more specific, even though it also comes from the cannabis plant, it is acquired through the cold-pressing of the seed to arrive at the oil. The seeds are not known for carrying any of the cannabinoids, therefore, hemp oil will not provide the therapeutic effects you will get from a hemp oil extracted from the aerial parts of the plants.

Hemp oil, unlike CBD oil, can be used in diverse ways, like for cooking as a replacement of olive oil. It comes with a nutty flavor and acts as a source of protein that makes it a nutritious component of any diet. Hemp oil is also used in lotions and has been proven to hydrate the skin.

What is broad spectrum oil?

In general, broad-spectrum is best identified as full-spectrum that has gone through an additional extraction to remove the trace amounts of THC. However, the term broad spectrum is being used very loosely as companies are adding their own terpenes and flavonoids to CBD Oil and calling them broad spectrum.

Which One is Right for Me?

Based on application, Full Spectrum oil is usually preferred for chronic discomfort and medical problems, while Hemp Seed oil is used for more topical uses like soap, food, and lotions. Depending upon your requirement, you should easily be able to understand which oil is right for you.

CBD only Oil is best for use if you work in an environment that drug tests. Full spectrum products may contain trace amounts of THC, although these trace amounts do not get you high while taking the product, they may show up in a drug test.

All manufacturers of any Hemp oil are required to disclose any THC discrepancies in their products, so read labels carefully before purchasing.
