Both animal and human CBD are extracted in the same way, and both should be derived from clean, organic cannabis with less than 0.3 percent THC (0.2 percent in Europe). With a few minor exceptions, human and pet hemp oil can be used interchangeably.

Animals can suffer from the same medical conditions as people, and treatment can start with the same product: high-quality CBD oil. Arthritis, a lack of appetite, anxiety, and cancer are all conditions that affect pets just as much as they do people. CBD oil for pets is safe and effective for your animals, just like it is for you!

The way CBD interacts with humans results in the cannabinoid's wellness-promoting properties (ECS). It is considered to be one of the most crucial physiological systems in the establishment and maintenance of human health. Endocannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors are found all over the body and are referred to as the bridge between the body and the mind.

CBD isn't psychoactive, so it won't make you feel euphoric. Side effects have been linked to high doses (upset stomach, liver effects). Giving a dog small doses of CBD and monitoring the effects before increasing the dosage is always a good idea.

Only a few studies on dogs have been conducted. CBD's potential side effects for dogs (and humans) are considered minor at appropriate doses and are listed below:

CBD has been shown to have an effect on saliva production. Some people have complained of having a dry mouth after taking CBD. In this case, a side effect of CBD for dogs would be an increase in thirst.

CBD in high doses has been known to cause a brief drop in blood pressure. Although the drop is minor, it may cause a brief feeling of dizziness.

In dogs, broad-spectrum CBD has been used to treat anxiety and panic. It's possible that it has a calming effect. When high doses of CBD are administered, one of the side effects of CBD for dogs is that it can cause slight drowsiness.

There have been reports that high doses of CBD can exacerbate the tremors experienced by Parkinson's disease patients.

Some liver enzymes can be inhibited by high doses of CBD. Some drugs' metabolism may be hampered as a result of this. If your dog is currently receiving any medication, it is recommended that you consult with your veterinarian before administering CBD to him.

Dogs, like people, have an endocannabinoid system that allows CBD oil to help them. The active ingredients in broad-spectrum hemp extract can now help relieve a variety of symptoms.

Some dog owners claim it can also help with epileptic seizures, but scientific studies are needed to confirm this. Before beginning treatment for this or any other of the claimed benefits, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian to ensure CBD is safe for your dog.

Even though veterinary scientific research into this new treatment is still in its infancy, many veterinarians are recommending CBD oil for dogs. Cannabinoids have been shown in numerous human studies to have anti-inflammatory properties and to aid in the treatment of anxiety, aggression, pain, seizures, muscle spasms, and neurological disorders.

There's also a lot of anecdotal evidence from dog owners on online forums, social media, and other platforms about the benefits of CBD use in their dogs. It's also worth noting that no major side effects or negative health concerns have been reported by pet parents (or veterinarians) who have used CBD oils or treats.

CBD oil mixtures, edibles, and topicals for pets that are used for therapeutic purposes contain little to no THC, the psychoactive chemical found in marijuana, and are thus less heavily regulated. The Farm Bill, which was signed into law in December 2018, removed industrial hemp, Cannabis sativa L., and its derivatives from the Controlled Substances Act.

Products containing more than 0.3 percent of the psychoactive chemical are still classified as Schedule 1 drugs, requiring strict production and distribution regulations. Because any product with a label claiming to provide therapeutic benefit is still subject to Food and Drug Administration oversight, not all CBD-containing substances are created equal in the eyes of the law.

CBD products used to treat, cure, diagnose, or prevent symptoms like pain, nausea, and stress should be FDA approved and came with a Certificate of Analysis that details the amount of THC in the product, how it was made, and whether it is organic and pesticide-free.

Another reason veterinarians have been hesitant to recommend cannabidiol as a treatment option when traditional medications have failed is that it is still illegal. Historically, federal law made it illegal for veterinarians to prescribe cannabis-based extracts; state laws are even more ambiguous, so most veterinarians won't bring up the topic of cannabis-derived therapeutics with clients unless their pet owners bring it up.

Because of the legal ambiguity and product variability, many veterinarians are hesitant to recommend full-spectrum CBD. Many veterinarians and pet owners are put off by the cost.

If your veterinarian or pet store doesn't carry cannabis-derived CBD oils, hemp-derived CBD oils may be easier to come by. Cannabidiol readily crosses the blood-brain barrier and interacts with cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system, just as it does in people, suggesting that it could be used to treat some of the same ailments.

Chemotherapy-induced nausea, bone pain, stress, epilepsy, and PTSD are just a few of the diseases where cannabis has been shown to help with symptoms.

Full-spectrum CBD is now available everywhere, from groomers to grocery stores, indicating that pet owners' interest in the cannabinoid isn't waning. With new legislation making cannabidiol more accessible and safer to use, it's up to veterinarians and pharmaceutical companies to catch up and research this potentially life-saving medication.

At ERTH HEMP, there’s a CBD product for every one of your pets, and we strive to make purchasing and to use full-spectrum CBD products as pleasurable as possible. We have everything you could possibly need in terms of CBD oil products, from CBD vape juices to CBD oil tinctures, CBD pet drops, CBD soft gels, topical CBD oil products, and more.

Erth Pet drops helped my teacup Maltese for good!

I recently picked up a teacup Maltese. She is extremely anxious and very scared for the first few months we’ve had her. Never very trusting always afraid of commitment. I picked up these pet drops and in the first 2 to 3 weeks we noticed a substantial difference in our dogs behavior. I simply add a few drops in her food every meal. And now she’s much more calm and a lot more playful. It seems like her anxiety is dramatically reduced and now we are able to make connections with her and enjoy our pet. This is a great product for animals that have anxiety problems and are constantly nervous. Thank you for introducing this product to me!

My dog is 15, these drops work wonders! Walking is much easier for him and I couldn’t be more happy! I also give him an extra drop when I leave the house for a few hours to help with his anxiety. Love this product!

Too soon to tell.

I got the bacon flavored CBD for my dog to help with anxiety. It's been a week or so. Can't really tell much difference but it can't hurt. I do wish they did not use a child proof top on the bottle. This has to be mainly adults buying it for animals so no need to make opening the bottle difficult.
